With more than 20 years of architectural experience Federico Soriano brings a technically rigorous and design-oriented approach to building envelope consulting. His work has focused extensively on the performance of exterior wall assemblies in cold climates, particularly within complex multifamily and mixed-use developments throughout the Boston area.

Federico’s expertise includes rainscreen systems, thermal bridging mitigation, NFPA 285 coordination, facade detailing, code compliance, and constructability review.

 

Having worked through all phases of design and construction from early concept development to construction administration he understands how enclosure decisions impact aesthetics, durability, energy performance, and project execution in the field.

In addition to his professional practice, Federico is the author of the book Architectural Details in Multifamily Housing: A Guide to Designing Exterior Walls in Cold Climates, a technical resource focused on envelope assemblies, detailing strategies, and code-informed design for Climate Zone 5 construction.
